Temaki keeps things refined and pared back, with a menu that puts the quality of the ingredients front and centre. A quieter, slightly more formal alternative to the handroll bars that have been opening across London this year – take Kumori Handroll Bar, for example.
Standouts include ‘The Temaki’ handroll, miso aubergine and baked scallop. We’d also recommend sharing a few small plates before moving onto your individual handroll selection – crispy rice with akami tuna, seaweed salad and a selection of homemade pickles are all worth ordering for the table (or, shall we say, the counter).
Séntire’s take: Come for the handrolls, but don’t skip the small plates. The combination makes for a more complete Temaki experience.
