The celebrated River Café has been an ultra-popular weekend luncheon spot for decades, particularly for HWI living in West London. With inventive Italian cuisine alternating with the seasons, the restaurant shows itself from its best side on a sunny spring or summer day, accompanied by lots of rosé. Make sure to leave enough room for dessert, as the selection is to die for – try the ‘Lemon Tart’ or the ‘Almond Tart with fresh strawberries’, resembling the famous ‘Tarte Tropézienne’ served at Club 55 in Saint Tropez.
Top tip: Give them a call the morning of your booking and request a table outside – it will be worth it!
