Parque Quetzalcóatl is a surreal 20-acre landscape conceived by architect Javier Senosiain, whose work had long focused on private organic architecture before he envisioned this project as a way to give back to the local community through a public, living artwork.

Built around the form and symbolism of the feathered serpent Quetzalcóatl, the park includes a remarkable apartment building woven into the landscape, blurring the boundaries between architecture, ecology, and fantasy. Everything in the park revolves around the snake motif, from winding pathways and sculptural earthworks to mosaic-covered forms that make visitors feel as though they have stepped into a dreamlike wonderland unlike anywhere else in or around Mexico City.

Within the park, visitors can explore varied zones including lush gardens, a greenhouse, lakes, tunnels, and immersive botanical spaces, each unfolding like a different chapter of a myth. Senosiain designed the entire environment to feel alive and flowing, using curves, native vegetation, and organic forms to create a space that is both ecological experiment and artistic escape. Visiting it feels less like entering a conventional park and more like being transported into a fantastical eco-focused wonderland.
