Museo Casa Estudio Diego Rivera y Frida Kahlo is a landmark of modernist architecture designed by Juan O'Gorman, celebrated for its striking functionalist design, vivid blocks of color, exposed concrete, rooftop terraces, and the iconic bridge connecting the separate houses of Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo. Inside, visitors can see Rivera’s studio with double-height windows built for natural light, original furnishings, sketches, personal objects, and collections of pre-Hispanic art. The museum’s architecture itself is part of the experience, with industrial materials, geometric forms, and Bauhaus-inspired principles that were radical in Mexico City at the time – leaving visitors curious about that era.
