Located in Kruger National Park itself, Lion Sands Game Reserve is a collection of luxury lodges in North-Eastern South Africa. Choose between Tinga Lodge, River Lodge, Narina Lodge, Ivory Lodge, Hinkwenu Residence and Fish Eagle Residence. At Tinga Lodge, for instance, you’ll be located right along the Sabie River. This is a classic safari experience, where wildlife is free to move around in and around the lodge’s premises. Each day, you’ll have the choice to depart on a morning safari at 6am and afternoon game drive at 4:30pm. Insider tip: Kruger is great to view elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions and rare but possible: African wild dog. The ‘rainy season’ (October to March) is great to experience greener scenery with nature in full bloom.
