After some delays in opening, Gaia has finally swung open its doors on Dover Street. Taking their gathered experience from its restaurants in Monaco and Dubai, it now brings core elements of Grecian culture to Mayfair. Upon entering, you’ll immediately notice the enhanced lightness of the space with a calming, neutral design. The concept started as a collaboration between businessman Evgeny Kuzin and Chef Izu Ani, becoming famous for dishes such as ‘Varelisia Feta Psiti’ and. ‘Garides Saganaki’. And, to top it all off, you simply can’t miss the ‘Loukoumades’ (translated into fried Greek doughnuts). Make sure to accompany it with ‘Pagoto Giourti’ (frozen Greek yoghurt).
Fun fact: The restaurant is named after the ‘Greek goddess of earth, the mother of the sun, the mountains and the sea’.
