Eel Sushi Bar, from the team behind Dorian, Tuna Fight Club and a growing collection of Notting Hill favourites, sits directly opposite Dorian on Talbot Road. Opened in May 2025, it is unapologetically for the true sushi lover – a tiny, intimate counter where the focus is almost entirely on nigiri and sashimi, with very little getting in the way of the fish. The lack of warm dishes is entirely the point, and once you understand that, the simplicity becomes rather addictive.
Séntire’s take: This is one for when you genuinely want sushi, rather than a restaurant that happens to serve it. Bookings can be notoriously hard to secure, but they're worth the effort – whether for a low-key date night or a relaxed weekend dinner. We love going early, then crossing the road to Dorian for a few drinks and letting the evening continue.
