Cantine Cotswolds feels like a predictable extension of the original Notting Hill favourite (in the very best way) – only this time, the setting is rolling countryside rather than Portobello Road. Set within the Cotswolds, it makes an easy anchor for a full countryside escape, with destinations such as Estelle Manor, Blenheim Palace or Soho Farmhouse close enough to build an entire day around lunch.

There is something grounding about the space, with both indoor and outdoor seating and an atmosphere that feels relaxed rather than too polished. The menu changes regularly, with a near-daily rhythm that keeps things seasonal and dictated by what is freshest, but the pasta is consistently a highlight.

Séntire's take: Look out for anything centred around vegetables or cooked over the wood fire, and whatever you do, save room for dessert – it is very much part of the experience. We love it as a place to linger, particularly when paired with a wider Cotswolds itinerary: explore the countryside first, settle in for a lengthy lunch, then let the afternoon unfold wherever the day takes you. It feels less like a restaurant transplanted from London and more like Cantine has simply found its natural countryside home.
