Ca Na Xica feels like Ibiza stripped back to its most grounding elements – a rural retreat in the north of the island where nature, wellness and thoughtful design take centre stage. Set among agricultural land, orchards and open countryside, the property feels removed from the energy Ibiza is better known for, with beautifully landscaped gardens and its striking pool creating a sense of calm.
The spa continues that philosophy, opening out towards the countryside with a hammam, sauna, jacuzzi, ice bath and treatments designed around slowing down and reconnecting with yourself. Sustainability is woven into the experience too, from solar energy and its own well to water treatment and an organic garden supplying produce for the kitchen.
Salvia, the hotel's restaurant, follows the same ethos, working with seasonal, local produce and letting the quality of the ingredients do the talking.
Séntire's take: Come here if you want to experience the Ibiza of 30 years ago – quieter, more elemental and deeply connected to the land. The vegetables at Salvia are cooked exceptionally well, and whatever you do, don't leave without trying the bread. It is the kind of place that reminds you that Ibiza has always been about much more than its nightlife.
