Bo-Kaap is a colourful district in central Cape Town filled with culture and history. After the houses were sold back to former slaves, the new owners painted the houses in vibrant colours as an expression of freedom and joy. Head to the area as a daytime activity – start by stepping into Iziko Bo-Kaap Museum, followed by a walk up the colourful alley. Finish off with a stroll down Wale Street an a visit to the Millie Collins boutique.
