Bar Termini is a tiny slice of 1950s Rome tucked away on Old Compton Street in Soho – designed as an homage to the grand coffee and aperitivo bars of the Italian capital. Best known for its Negronis, the bar serves a handful of carefully perfected variations alongside classic Italian aperitivi, coffee and a small selection of charcuterie and cheese.
The setting is the real catch – polished wood, sage-green banquettes, black-and-white tiles and impeccably dressed servers in crisp white jackets create an atmosphere that feels sophisticated but wonderfully old-school, almost rustic. With just around 25 seats, bookings are strongly recommended, although a limited number of walk-ins are accepted.
Séntire’s take: This is not the place for an entire evening – and that's precisely why we love it. Come for one perfectly made Negroni before dinner, or slip in for a nightcap afterwards, and let the little ritual of it all transport you somewhere far beyond Soho. Bar Termini is tiny, polished and completely memorable.
